We are delighted to welcome Ayrshire-based artist, Lindsay Hewitt to the gallery with an exhibition of landscapes rooted, as the title suggests, in the landscape of south-west Scotland. Lindsay initially works in situ to capture an immediate sense of place. This exploratory material is then developed in the studio, often at scale, to produce energetic artwork in a range of mediums and surfaces. Her aim is to convey an experience of a particular time and place, and invites the viewer to explore colour and texture to share in and respond to the natural world in and around the South-West of Scotland.
